Overview

Samsara is hiring a Senior Sales Engineer for the Public Sector to support senior-level sellers and contribute as a senior resource. This role requires strong technical sales skills and experience in the public sector.

Who you are

You have a strong background in technical sales, particularly within the public sector, and are adept at supporting senior-level sellers to grow existing customers and win new ones. Your experience includes handling technical sales with a focus on storytelling, objection handling, and advanced integrations. You are highly accountable for each technical sale, ensuring that you provide custom workarounds and solutions that meet client needs. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy contributing to team success as a senior resource.

Desirable

Experience in industries such as agriculture, construction, field services, transportation, or manufacturing is a plus, as these sectors are integral to Samsara's mission. Familiarity with IoT data and its applications in improving operational efficiency will enhance your ability to connect with clients and understand their challenges.

What you'll do

As a Senior Sales Engineer at Samsara, you will play a crucial role in the sales process by providing technical expertise and support to senior-level sellers. You will engage with potential and existing customers, demonstrating how Samsara's Connected Operations™ Cloud can transform their operations through actionable insights derived from IoT data. Your responsibilities will include crafting compelling narratives around the technology, addressing customer objections, and developing custom solutions that align with client requirements.

You will also contribute to the Sales Engineering team by sharing your knowledge and experience, mentoring junior team members, and collaborating on best practices for technical sales.
