Job Description

Amazon Manufacturing Services is a fast paced, internal services team looking for an experienced Senior Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimize our materials sourcing strategy (metals, polymers, components), supplier qualification processes, and inventory management strategies. This role supports an ISO certified organization and will be crucial in ensuring operational excellence and maintaining Amazon's high standards for quality and efficiency.

Key job responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives for raw materials across manufacturing operations
• Lead supplier qualification, selection, and relationship management processes
• Optimize inventory management strategies to ensure production continuity while minimizing holding costs
• Drive continuous improvement in supply chain processes and cost reduction initiatives
• Manage and analyze supply chain metrics, KPIs, and performance data
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, and Engineering
• Lead risk management strategies for supply chain operations
• Develop and maintain supplier quality management systems
• Drive negotiations for complex supplier agreements and contracts- 5+ years of supply chain experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field
- 6+ years of supply chain experience
- Proven track record of managing complex supplier relationships
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities
- Experience with ERP systems and supply chain management tools
- Excellence in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
- Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, MBA, or related field
- Experience managing sourcing operations in industrial, aerospace, or automotive industries
- Six Sigma certification
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles
- Strong negotiation skills and contract management experience
- International sourcing and supplier management experience
- Track record of implementing supply chain optimization initiatives
- Experience with compliance and quality management systems

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $103,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $181,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
