Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Additive Manufacturing Production Manager to lead a team of technicians and operators to produce both rapid turn prototypes and high-volume components. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of additive manufacturing production, ensuring efficient operations, high-quality output, and continuous improvement of processes.

Key job responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the additive manufacturing production floor, including resource allocation, and quality control.
- Oversee the entire 3D printing process, from file preparation to post-processing and finishing.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to optimize part designs for additive manufacturing.
- Maintain and drive quality management systems to
- Monitor and analyze production metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain to manage inventory of materials and supplies, ensuring optimal stock levels and timely replenishment.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in additive manufacturing technologies and implement relevant innovations.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
- Train and mentor team members on additive manufacturing processes and best practices.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate additive manufacturing into broader production strategies.
- Develop and manage budgets for the additive manufacturing department.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Certifications in additive manufacturing or related fields.
- Extensive knowledge of various 3D printing technologies (e.g., FDM, SLA, SLS, DMLS) and their applications.
- Strong understanding of CAD software and file preparation for 3D printing.
- Experience with quality management systems and lean manufacturing principles.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $100,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $150,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
