Senior GL Accountant

About the Role

Together AI is looking for a motivated Senior GL Accountant to help shape the future of the department by building scalable and reliable accounting processes and enhancing financial reporting for operational and business analytics to drive Company decisions. This position will report to the Director of FinOps and Accounting and will play a key role in our general ledger accounting functions, managing accounts payable, and audit support. Responsibilities 

• Play a key role in month-end close processes, record journal entries, accruals and prepare month-end account reconciliations within the close timeline.
• Manage the accounts payable function, including review of expense coding, vendor payments, and purchase order management.
• Act as key liaison for external audits by preparing schedules, locating supporting documents, and responding to inquiries. 
• Lead accounting projects and other process improvements for the accounting and finance function.
• Identify and provide guidance on accounting implications of business initiatives to operational business leaders.
• Be a trusted business partner and work with cross-functional teams and contribute to other departments’ goals and duties as needed.

Requirements 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience; mix of Big 4 and industry experience strongly preferred.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Relevant experience in US GAAP; ASC 606 revenue recognition and ASC 842 lease accounting strongly preferred. 
• Detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, resourceful and proactive.
• Must have a strong work ethic and demonstrated ability to priorities and manage workflow to meet critical deadlines.
• Proven ability to foster proactive and collaborative working relationships across functions in the organization.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in composing concise, accurate and appropriately targeted responses.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.

Compensation

We offer competitive compensation, startup equity, health insurance and other competitive benefits. The US base salary range for this full-time position is: $125,000 - $135,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by location, level and role. Individual compensation will be determined by experience, skills, and job-related knowledge.
