Guidepoint is hiring a Credit Consultant to monitor corporate credit situations and conduct in-depth research for investment clients. This role requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in sell-side or buy-side analysis.
You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience as a sell-side or buy-side analyst. You follow a bottoms-up, fundamental approach to investment research, focusing on individual companies and their credit situations. Your expertise includes monitoring distressed, restructuring, and price dislocations in leveraged loan and high-yield markets. You are adept at conducting thorough company research, reviewing earnings releases, analyzing SEC filings, and understanding credit agreements and bond indentures. You have experience working with some of the largest hedge funds, private equity firms, and Fortune-ranked public companies, which has equipped you with a deep understanding of the corporate credit landscape.
In this role, you will monitor single-name corporate credit situations in North America, focusing on distressed companies and restructuring scenarios. You will conduct bottoms-up research, analyzing earnings releases and investor presentations to generate actionable insights for clients. Your responsibilities will include reviewing and analyzing credit agreements and bond indentures, as well as moderating teleconferences featuring experts from Guidepoint’s network. You will generate ideas and follow key investor views among relevant strategies within the North American credit market. This position can be performed in-person or fully remote, providing flexibility in your work environment.
Guidepoint offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary that may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Additionally, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on performance. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse team of professionals and contribute to a new offering that provides valuable insights to institutional investment and corporate clients.
