Stripe is seeking a Legal Entity Controller to manage month-end accounting processes and ensure compliance with US GAAP and local regulations. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams and utilize your skills in Oracle and SQL.
You have a strong background in accounting with experience in month-end processes and financial reporting — your expertise ensures compliance with both US GAAP and local regulations. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to changing requirements with ease. Your ability to collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as Tax, Treasury, and Accounting is a key strength, allowing you to navigate complex financial landscapes effectively. You possess a keen eye for detail, ensuring that all financial statements are prepared accurately and timely. Your experience with internal controls demonstrates your commitment to maintaining high standards of financial integrity. You are also familiar with the technology or payments industry, which enhances your understanding of the unique challenges faced in this sector.
Knowledge of the Oracle suite and SQL is a plus, as these tools will aid in your daily tasks and reporting responsibilities. Experience in the technology or payments industry will give you an edge in understanding the nuances of Stripe's operations.
In this role, you will perform month-end accounting processes to support Stripe's rapid global growth — your responsibilities will include financial close and analysis, audit and regulatory compliance, and reporting. You will own the preparation of statutory financial statements, ensuring they are audited, reviewed, and signed off by the board of directors. Working with local service providers, you will ensure compliance with filing requirements, maintaining accuracy and timeliness in all submissions. You will also conduct monthly and quarterly close activities, which involve manual journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analyses, and analytical reviews. Your work will produce internal management reporting and provide external audit support. As you grow in this position, you will have the potential to take on additional tasks and responsibilities, further enhancing your role within the team.
