Our users automate service unsubscriptions to save people money, and they collect billions of rows of data from all over the world for AI training, protection of consumers, or finding lost children. We give AI chatbots the context to interact intelligently, and we’re developing novel ways to work with generative AI like ChatGPT.

What you’ll be working on?

Data is driving the recent AI revolution. Companies like Intercom use Apify to extract text content from the web, feeding their vector databases and fine-tuning or training large language models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT and LLaMA.

We’re building a new product team focused on AI ecosystem and looking for a backend engineers interested in AI tooling.

Apify is built for developers by developers. We’re using the Apify platform ourselves every day, and put great pride in making it better for ourselves too. We’re big advocates of open source and publish everything that we can on GitHub (PRs are welcome 😉).

Our tech stack:

• Frontend: React.js, styled-components, Storybook, Cypress, Playwright

• Backend: TypeScript/Node.js, Next.js, Nest.js, Express.js, Docusaurus, Jest

• Infra: AWS, Kubernetes, Helm, MongoDB, Redis, DynamoDB, S3, GitHub Actions

• Monitoring: Grafana, Prometheus, Mezmo, Sentry, PagerDuty

• Tools: GitHub, ZenHub, Notion, Google Workspace

• Process: two-week sprints, code reviews, tests, automating whatever we can, and deploying multiple times per day.

They say there are no perfect candidates, but you might be the one if you have:

• You have a strong technical background or a great professional track record ➡️ We are looking for exceptional candidates no matter the seniority

• 3+ years of industry experience in software development

• Expertise in building backend applications or tools with Python or TypeScript and being open to gathering experience with the other one

• Experience with AI/LLM - speaking of usage of various large language models, knowledge of the tooling and ecosystem, such as Langchain or Llamahub, …

• Ability to autonomously work on weakly defined projects that require an experiment-driven and collaborative mindset

• Good communication skills in English
