Amazon is hiring a Manufacturing Assembly Technician II to support the production of low Earth orbit satellites. You'll be responsible for assembling and testing avionic LRUs and electrical-mechanical assemblies. This role requires attention to detail and experience in manufacturing processes.
You are a detail-oriented technician with experience in manufacturing and assembly processes. You thrive in environments where safety is paramount and are committed to maintaining high standards of quality in your work. Your background includes assembling and testing complex electrical-mechanical systems, and you are familiar with handling fiber optics and PCBAs. You understand the importance of manufacturability and throughput in production and are motivated to contribute to the success of innovative projects like Amazon Leo.
Experience with avionic systems or satellite technology is a plus. Familiarity with preventative maintenance activities and lab equipment calibration will help you excel in this role. You are proactive in identifying process improvements and maintaining inventory, ensuring that production runs smoothly.
In this role, you will champion safety requirements in all designated zones and work locations, ensuring that all team members adhere to safety protocols. You will assemble and test a variety of avionic LRUs and electrical-mechanical assemblies, emphasizing precision and attention to detail. Your responsibilities will also include handling and installing fiber optics and PCBAs, ensuring that all components meet quality standards. You will maintain and calibrate lab equipment, supporting preventative maintenance activities on test equipment and data acquisition systems. Additionally, you will identify equipment requirements and process improvements, maintaining floor stock inventory to support production needs.
Amazon offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $33.00 to $36.00, with eligibility for additional earnings including overtime pay and performance bonuses.
