You have 5+ years of experience in engineering management, with a strong background in AI technologies and developer tools. You understand the challenges developers face and are passionate about creating solutions that enhance their productivity. Your leadership style fosters collaboration and innovation, enabling your team to thrive in a remote-first environment.

You possess a deep understanding of AI-powered tools and their application in software development. You have experience in building and shipping products that leverage AI to improve developer experiences. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly makes you an effective leader and mentor.

You are committed to diversity and inclusion, recognizing that a variety of perspectives leads to better outcomes. You encourage your team to adopt an AI-native mindset and are skilled at driving the adoption of new technologies within an organization.

Desirable

Experience with tools like Claude Code, Cursor, and Warp is a plus. Familiarity with agile methodologies and a track record of leading successful engineering teams will set you apart.

What you'll do

As the Senior Manager of Engineering at Docker, you will build and lead a new team focused on AI Developer Tools. Your primary responsibility will be to create and ship innovative AI agents and tools that accelerate developer productivity. You will oversee the development of AI-powered code review and refactoring assistants, automated test generators, and deployment pipeline diagnostic agents.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the tools you develop meet the needs of developers both internally and for Docker's customers. Your role will involve setting the vision for the team, defining project goals, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products.

You will also be responsible for fostering a culture of innovation within your team, encouraging experimentation and the adoption of new technologies. You will mentor team members, helping them grow their skills and advance their careers in engineering.
