Overview

Google is seeking a Staff Software Engineer, Full Stack to lead high-impact projects and provide technical leadership. You'll work with Python, C++, Kotlin, TypeScript, and JavaScript to develop large-scale software solutions. This role requires 8+ years of programming experience.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience and at least 8 years of experience programming in Python, C++, or Kotlin. Your expertise extends to 8 years of programming in TypeScript or JavaScript, and you have a solid background in testing and launching software products for 5 years. You possess 3 years of experience with software design and architecture, and you have a strong understanding of data structures and algorithms, having worked with them for 8 years. Your experience includes 3 years in a technical leadership role, where you've led project teams and set technical direction in a complex, matrixed organization.

You bring fresh ideas from various areas, including information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking, data storage, security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, UI design, and mobile technologies. You are versatile and enthusiastic about tackling new problems across different projects, demonstrating leadership qualities that inspire your team.

Desirable

A Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field would be a plus, as would any experience in cross-functional or cross-business projects.

As a Staff Software Engineer at Google, you will work on specific projects critical to the company’s needs, with opportunities to switch teams and projects as the business evolves.
