Axon is seeking an Operations & Production Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations in Kassel. You'll drive throughput, improve quality, and manage cross-functional dependencies in a fast-paced hardware environment.
You have a strong background in operations management, ideally with experience in manufacturing environments. You understand the complexities of scaling production and have a proven track record of improving operational efficiency. Your leadership style fosters collaboration and empowers team members to excel in their roles. You are proactive in identifying and mitigating supply chain issues, ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently. You thrive in dynamic settings and are comfortable managing multiple priorities while maintaining a focus on quality and throughput.
Experience with hardware production processes is a plus, as is familiarity with lean manufacturing principles. You have a knack for problem-solving and can navigate challenges with a strategic mindset. Your communication skills enable you to effectively coordinate with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and collaboration across departments.
In this role, you will take full ownership of daily manufacturing operations, leading efforts to stabilize and scale production in response to growing global demand. You will implement strategies to improve first-pass yield (FPY) and reduce rework, driving effective root-cause corrective actions. Your responsibilities will include managing cross-functional dependencies across Production, Engineering, Quality, Warehouse, and Purchasing, ensuring that all teams work together seamlessly. You will execute pilot builds and support the industrialization of new products or variants, bringing structure and discipline to a rapidly evolving environment.
You will also be responsible for mitigating material shortages and supply delays through proactive coordination with suppliers. Your leadership will guide the team through increasing complexity and growth, fostering an environment where everyone can do their best work. You will report directly to the General Manager of Kassel Operations, collaborating closely to achieve operational goals and drive real change within the organization.
At Axon, you will be part of a mission-driven company that values your contributions and encourages your growth.
