Area Manager, Environmental, Health, and Safety Operations

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related discipline, along with equivalent practical experience. With at least 5 years of experience in program or project management, you have a proven track record of leading teams and managing projects effectively. Your experience includes at least 3 years in leadership roles, where you've developed skills in guiding teams towards achieving their goals. You are well-versed in implementing and executing environmental, health, and safety management systems, such as ISO 45001, and have a strong understanding of EHS compliance for industrial facilities. Your ability to liaise with federal, state, and local authorities regarding EHS issues is a key asset.

You possess professional EHS certifications, such as CSP, CHMM, REM, WSHO, or FSM, which demonstrate your commitment to the field. Your experience managing environmental programs and systems, including ISO 14001 or equivalent, showcases your ability to handle emissions, wastewater, and other critical environmental concerns. You also have experience working with vendors to improve their EHS programs and drive performance plans, which highlights your collaborative approach to safety and compliance.

What you'll do

As a Program Manager at Google, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from inception to completion. Your role will involve coordinating with various stakeholders to plan project requirements, manage schedules, identify risks, and communicate progress clearly across teams.
