About the Role:
Paytm is looking for a Senior Software Engineer with sound knowledge of Android native application development using Kotlin, RXJava, Coroutines, Dagger and its framework. He/She/They will work on an Android application for Android POS devices.
Requirements:
He/She/They will design and code features for the Android application as per the specifications provided by Product and Design teams.
Write unit tests for all features.
Works closely with Backend, Design and Product Management teams to brainstorm and understand the details of features.
Should be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
Skills that will help you succeed in this role:
Software Engineers with 3 to 6 years of experience in building apps for the Android platform.
Good understanding of Kotlin & Java, Dagger 2, MVVM architecture, Live data, data binding, RxJava2, Room DB, Coroutines.
Good understanding of Android application architecture and design.
Good understanding of memory management, network interaction, debugging, concurrency and multi-threading in Android.
Understanding of complete application development, continuous integration & testing and app distribution infrastructure.
Should be proficient in Kotlin as well as Java.
Should have strong experience of Data Structures, algorithms and Oops concepts.
Prior work experience in Payments Application development will be a plus.
