You have a strong background in business development, particularly in the realm of customs and trade management. With at least 5 years of experience, you understand the complexities of import brokerage and can navigate the regulatory landscape with ease. Your expertise allows you to act as a subject matter expert, guiding both prospects and clients through their import projects. You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to articulate value propositions effectively and build strong relationships with stakeholders. You are driven by results and have a proven track record of closing new business opportunities in a competitive environment. You thrive in a fast-paced setting and are passionate about making global trade more accessible and efficient.
Experience in international trade consulting is a plus, as is familiarity with technology platforms that facilitate global commerce. You are comfortable working with cross-functional teams and have a collaborative mindset that fosters teamwork and innovation. A background in compliance management will enhance your ability to identify potential challenges and propose effective solutions.
In this role, you will be responsible for driving the growth of Flexport's Customs and Trade Management products. You will work closely with the Demand organization to define and solve import projects for clients, ensuring compliance with trade regulations. Your role will involve identifying new business opportunities and developing strategies to engage potential clients. You will collaborate with Customer Success Managers to ensure that client needs are met and that they receive the highest level of service. You will also be tasked with staying informed about industry trends and regulatory changes that may impact your clients and the services Flexport offers. Your insights will be crucial in shaping the company's approach to customs and trade management, allowing Flexport to maintain its competitive edge in the market.
