Applied AI team is looking for a passionate, hard-working, and creative candidate to join our data operations team as an ML Data Associate II. This position offers an exciting introduction to Amazon store business and AI technology, and provides a training ground for success.
You will primarily be responsible for driving increased data quality and solving challenging operational business goals. You will utilize data and execute different Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to help develop scalable, long-term solutions which will have a significant impact on business teams.
Our environment is fast-paced, and requires someone who is a self-starter, detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working with multiple teams, partners, and management. The candidate should be clear and use data to drive their communication with stakeholders. The candidate should be able to resolve issues with limited guidance.
Key job responsibilities
• Curate ground truth benchmark data for AI/ML products
• Verify information by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or re-entering data
• Analyze ML data sets, perform deep dives, and summarize findings to support ongoing continuous process improvement
• Translating established guidelines into daily work practices
• Handling unique data requests from a range of data customers
• Contributing to process improvements to reduce handling time and improve output
About the team
The Applied AI team is enabling organizations within Worldwide Amazon Stores (WWAS) to accelerate the adoption of AI technologies. We build reusable solutions to make knowledge operations work more efficient and enable our teams to focus on the most creative and critical decision-making work, while raising the quality bar for outcomes. As a part of Applied AI's Data Ops Team, you'll be a critical compontent in pushing the boundaries of advanced ML and generative AI techniques to scale the inputs for hundreds of billions of dollars of annual revenue for our e-commerce business. • Excellent proficiency in US English, both verbal and written skills
• Working knowledge of computers
• Excellent communication, strong organizational skills and very detailed-oriented
• Comfortable working in a fast paced, highly collaborative, dynamic work environment
• Willingness to support several projects at one time, and to accept re-prioritization as necessary
• Ability to keep up with changing project conventions and new projects• Practical knowledge of data processing needs and trade-offs
• Previous annotation experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $32,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $70,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
