Amazon is hiring a Data Center Controls Technician to support the AWS Data Centers Controls Team. You'll work on building management systems and electrical power monitoring systems, ensuring the operational efficiency of AWS infrastructure. This role requires a technical background in installation and troubleshooting.
You have a technical background and experience in installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of building management systems (BMS) and electrical power monitoring systems (EPMS). You are detail-oriented and have a strong understanding of the operational requirements of data centers. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working alongside software, hardware, and network engineers to ensure the highest standards of safety and security. You are eager to contribute to major innovations in building controls and automation, and you are passionate about enhancing the customer experience.
Experience with AWS infrastructure and a background in electrical engineering or a related field would be advantageous. Familiarity with automation systems and controls is a plus, as is a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous improvement.
As a Data Center Controls Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of BMS and EPMS within Amazon data centers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that all systems operate efficiently and effectively, contributing to the overall performance of AWS infrastructure. You will troubleshoot issues as they arise, ensuring minimal downtime and maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence. Your role will involve working with various technologies and systems, requiring you to stay updated on the latest advancements in building controls and automation.
You will also participate in projects aimed at improving the efficiency and reliability of data center operations.
