Handshake is seeking Electro-Mechanical and Mechatronics Technologists and Technicians to contribute to an AI research project. You'll leverage your professional experience to evaluate AI models and provide structured feedback. This role requires at least 4 years of relevant experience.
You have at least 4 years of professional experience in electro-mechanical or mechatronics roles, where you've performed testing and installation of electromechanical assemblies using specialized instruments. You are skilled in modifying or repairing components to ensure optimal functionality and have experience utilizing CAD software to support your work. You are comfortable working independently and can deliver clear, structured feedback that strengthens AI models' understanding of workplace tasks and language. You are adaptable and open to learning new skills as you contribute to the evolving field of AI.
In this role, you will evaluate AI models based on your professional experience, assessing content related to your field of work. You will develop prompts for AI models that reflect your expertise and evaluate the responses generated by these models. Your feedback will be crucial in enhancing the AI's understanding of specific tasks and language used in your field. The position is remote and asynchronous, allowing you to work independently from anywhere in the United States. You will have the flexibility to choose your hours, with an average commitment of 5-20 hours per week. As you engage with the AI, you will learn new skills and contribute to the advancement of AI applications in your industry.
