The Hardware Engineer will be member of the Experiences + Devices segment of Microsoft, which includes Surface, PC Accessories and Xbox Hardware. They will work closely with Industrial Designers, Mechanical Engineers, Manufacturing Specialists and Prototype Model Builders in the pursuit of developing world-class hardware products.
The Hardware Engineer will be responsible for the development and delivery of ID-sensitive 3D CAD models created using a variety of CAD software tools, including Creo Parametric, Blender, Rhino and Alias. This work will include the enhancement and evolution of existing products, as well as the development of new product designs and concepts.

They will be self-motivated, confident, detail-oriented, and attracted to the challenging opportunities associated with a rapid product development process. They need to be passionate about continuously expanding their skillset and leveraging new technologies for design exploration. They will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability and desire to work with a highly creative team.

Hardware Engineering IC2 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $84,200 - $165,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $109,000 - $180,400 per year.
