Overview

Tanium is seeking a Director of Strategic Accounts in the Financial Services Industry to drive sales and customer relationships. You'll articulate the value of the Tanium platform to C-suite executives and manage complex sales cycles. This role requires significant enterprise software sales experience.

Who you are

You have significant enterprise software sales experience, generating and closing large and complex software transactions with major customers in the region. You are comfortable engaging with C-level executives, including CIOs and CISOs, and can effectively communicate both business benefits and technical details. Your proven track record of exceeding quotas demonstrates your ability to drive results and deliver a superior customer experience. You thrive in a team-oriented environment, understanding that selling is a collaborative effort that requires managing and utilizing virtual resources effectively.

You possess strong relationship-building skills, nurturing connections within your assigned territory and accounts. You are adept at presenting the value of technology solutions to decision-makers and can articulate complex concepts in a clear and compelling manner. Your experience includes conducting webinars and in-person presentations to generate qualified leads, showcasing your ability to engage and inform potential clients. You are also skilled in maintaining accurate sales forecasts and ensuring excellent hygiene in your sales management tools.

Desirable

Experience in the financial services industry is a plus, as it allows you to understand the unique challenges and opportunities within this sector. Familiarity with the Tanium platform or similar enterprise solutions will enable you to hit the ground running and effectively communicate its value to clients. A strong understanding of the sales cycle and the ability to navigate complex organizational structures will further enhance your effectiveness in this role.

What you'll do

As the Director of Strategic Accounts, you will be responsible for generating opportunities to position the Tanium platform within your assigned territory and accounts. You will articulate the value of the platform to decision-makers, expertly managing the complex sales cycle from initial engagement to closing. Your role will involve nurturing and developing relationships within your territory, ensuring that you are well-connected with key stakeholders.

You will collaborate with the Partner and Marketing teams to define and support prospecting and sales efforts, generating appropriate sales development activity to maintain a healthy pipeline. Your ability to accurately forecast sales and maintain excellent SFDC hygiene will be critical to your success. You will also conduct online webinars or in-person presentations to generate qualified leads, showcasing your expertise and the value of the Tanium platform.

Travel may be required as needed to meet with clients and prospects, ensuring that you are present to foster relationships and close deals. You will be expected to exceed your assigned quota, driving revenue growth for the company while delivering exceptional customer experiences.
