Who you are

You have a solid background in security assurance, with a strong understanding of how assurance plays a critical role in maintaining high standards for customers. Your analytical problem-solving skills enable you to take full ownership of complex challenges, ensuring that security measures are effectively implemented across AWS services. You are conversant with cloud-native technologies and have experience working with enterprise gateways and data transfer protocols. Your expertise in Security Risk Assessment (SRA) allows you to identify and mitigate potential security risks effectively.

What you'll do

In this role, you will support the development and management of various AWS services, including Compute, Database, Storage, IoT, and Productivity Apps. You will provide oversight and governance to ensure that services connecting AWS regions of differing security classifications adhere to the highest security standards. Your responsibilities will include conducting security assessments, identifying vulnerabilities, and recommending appropriate security measures to mitigate risks.

You will collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security best practices into the development lifecycle, ensuring that security is a fundamental aspect of all AWS services. Your role will involve analyzing security incidents and providing guidance on incident response strategies to minimize impact on customers. You will also be responsible for creating and maintaining documentation related to security policies and procedures, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and compliant with security requirements.

As part of the AWS team, you will participate in security audits and assessments, working closely with external auditors to demonstrate compliance with industry standards. You will also engage in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying areas for enhancement in security processes and technologies. Your contributions will help shape the security posture of AWS, ensuring that customers can trust the services they rely on.
