Handshake is seeking Set and Exhibit Designers to contribute to an AI training project. You'll leverage your professional experience to evaluate AI models and provide feedback. No AI experience is required, making this an accessible opportunity for those with relevant design backgrounds.
You have at least 4 years of professional experience in set and exhibit design or related fields. Your background includes developing set designs based on scripts, budgets, and available locations. You are comfortable preparing rough drafts and scale working drawings of sets, including floor plans, scenery, and props. You possess the ability to create preliminary renderings that effectively communicate your design ideas. You are detail-oriented and can deliver clear, structured feedback that strengthens AI models' understanding of workplace tasks and language. You are open to learning new skills and adapting to the evolving landscape of AI in your field. You are flexible and can work independently, managing your time effectively to meet project demands.
In this role, you will contribute to an hourly, temporary AI research project by evaluating AI models and assessing content related to your field of work. You will develop prompts for AI models that reflect your expertise and evaluate the responses generated by these models. Your feedback will play a crucial role in enhancing the AI's understanding of set and exhibit design tasks. The position is remote and asynchronous, allowing you to work independently from wherever you are. You will have the opportunity to engage in projects that open periodically throughout the year, providing flexibility in your commitment. You will collaborate with other professionals in your field to ensure that the AI models are accurately trained and aligned with real-world practices. Your insights will help shape how AI is utilized in set and exhibit design, contributing to the advancement of technology in your industry.
Handshake offers a unique opportunity to engage with AI technology without requiring prior experience in the field. You will have the chance to learn new skills and contribute to meaningful projects that impact the future of AI in your profession. The work hours are flexible, averaging between 5-20 hours per week, allowing you to balance this role with other commitments. You will be part of a community of professionals who are also contributing to the AI training process, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing. This role is ideal for those looking to expand their professional experience while exploring the intersection of design and technology.
