Senior Software Engineer - HPC Cost Optimization & Efficiency

Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in high-performance computing (HPC) environments. Your background includes a strong understanding of cost optimization strategies and resource management, which are critical as Zoox scales its autonomous vehicle development. You are adept at modernizing HPC platforms and have experience with industry-leading technologies like Ray.io, SLURM, and Kubernetes. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to balance performance requirements with cost constraints.

You possess a deep technical expertise in cloud computing and are familiar with FinOps best practices. Your ability to analyze and optimize compute economics will directly impact Zoox's bottom line, making you a key player in the company's success. You are comfortable working independently and are eager to define and implement strategies that maximize resource utilization while minimizing waste.

Experience with data engineering and AI model training is a plus, as you will be supporting various software teams across Zoox.
