Handshake is seeking Environmental Engineers to contribute to an AI training project. You'll leverage your expertise to evaluate AI models and provide feedback. No AI experience is required, making this an excellent opportunity for professionals in the environmental field.
You have at least 4 years of professional experience in environmental engineering, with a strong understanding of managing water, air, or soil quality. Your background includes designing and supervising systems that assess environmental impacts of land use projects. You are comfortable collaborating with specialists to address environmental issues and advising on site cleanup procedures. You are eager to learn new skills and contribute to the evolving field of AI in your area of expertise. You are adaptable and can work independently in a remote setting, managing your own schedule with flexibility.
In this role, you will participate in an AI research project by evaluating the outputs of AI models related to your field. You will develop prompts that reflect your professional experience and assess the responses generated by the AI. Your feedback will help strengthen the model's understanding of workplace tasks and language. The position is temporary and hourly, allowing you to work as much or as little as you prefer, typically averaging between 5 to 20 hours per week. You will have the opportunity to engage in various projects as they become available, contributing to the advancement of AI applications in environmental engineering.
