Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in product design, particularly in creating user-centric digital experiences. Your portfolio showcases a range of projects that highlight your ability to blend creativity with functionality, ensuring that users can easily navigate and enjoy the products you design. You are proficient in design tools such as Figma, and you have a strong understanding of design systems and user interface principles. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to bring ideas to life. You are data-driven, using both qualitative insights and quantitative data to inform your design decisions and elevate user satisfaction. You are passionate about creating accessible and inclusive designs that cater to a diverse audience. You enjoy staying updated with the latest design trends and technologies, and you are eager to incorporate innovative solutions into your work.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the design for new website creation capabilities, focusing on enhancing the user experience through intuitive drag-and-drop interfaces and styling systems. You will shape key areas such as global styling, content creation, and page management, ensuring that the editor's core UI/UX is both expressive and functional. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management and engineering, to deliver best-in-class user experiences that help users transition from a blank page to a fully branded website. Your responsibilities will include translating user feedback and data into actionable design strategies, deepening the product's design intelligence by integrating automation and AI into the editing workflow. You will also participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the design team. You will report to the Product Design Manager of Websites and contribute to the overall vision of Squarespace's core website builder experience.
