The Amazon Demand Tech Product organization is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Ad Sourcing AI infrastructure team Fusion. In this role, you will be responsible for building and scaling ad sourcing infrastructure to meet the standards required for the ADSP platform, enabling a variety of advertising tactics. The target system will be capable of handling millions of transactions per second with millisecond latency. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the long-term architectural vision for this critical system. The individual in this position will be responsible for software development from inception through delivery, working across a diverse set of technologies. Key job responsibilities
- Design and develop high-throughput, low-latency systems, demonstrating strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
- Leverage problem-solving abilities to collaborate with cross-functional teams, think strategically, and simplify complex challenges.
- Work closely with teams across Amazon to integrate and optimize existing advertising products, leveraging the company's scale and reach.
- Apply technical expertise, excellent organizational and communication skills to tackle ambiguous, high-impact problems, demonstrating ingenuity and motivation to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other software development engineers on the team.
- Ensure a high standard of quality by conducting design reviews, implementing robust engineering practices, and driving automated testing and code coverage.
About the team
The Fusion team is focused on improving Demand Tech (ADSP & SD) advertiser performance via fast online ad sourcing at scale. We partner with Demand Product and 1P supply to unlock amazon ads business opportunities. We believe data is the fuel that drives insights for our decisions, and are helping to drive the shift from manual rule-based to automated AI-based ad sourcing. We prioritize system efficiency and resilience as high priority, and believe owning end to end metrics and provides seamless and consistent experimentation analysis at scale is critical to long term success of the business.- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
