Google is seeking a Senior Product Manager for Google Cloud Databases to guide products from conception to launch. You'll work cross-functionally with engineering and UX/UI teams, requiring 8+ years of experience in product management and strong technical skills.
You have 8 years of experience in product management or a related technical role, with a proven track record of taking technical products from conception to launch. Your background includes developing or launching products or technologies within databases, analytics, big data, or a related area. You hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, and a Master's degree in a technology or business-related field is preferred. You have experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales finance, and other stakeholders, and you are skilled in preparing and delivering technical presentations to executive leadership. You thrive in environments that require continuous adaptation and are excited to work on products that impact millions of users daily.
In this role, you will work closely with creative engineers, designers, and marketers to guide products from conception to launch. You will connect the technical and business worlds, breaking down complex problems into actionable steps that drive product development. Your responsibilities will include defining and tracking quantitative and qualitative metrics to measure product success and guide data-driven decision-making. You will map end-to-end buyer and user journeys to shape portfolio messaging and positioning, driving cross-functional consensus to deliver solutions that address real enterprise issues. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure that the products meet user needs and align with business objectives. Your role will also involve conducting user research, analyzing market trends, and identifying opportunities for product enhancements. You will be responsible for maintaining a strategic roadmap and ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned on product vision and goals.
