Uber is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the Earnings Experience team to build scalable backend systems that enhance driver earnings communication. You'll work with Java and distributed systems to solve complex challenges. This role requires 6+ years of experience.
You have over 6 years of experience in software engineering, particularly in building scalable backend systems that handle high throughput and low latency. Your expertise in distributed systems allows you to design and implement solutions that are both efficient and reliable, ensuring that critical information is communicated effectively to users.
You possess a strong understanding of algorithms and data structures, which enables you to tackle complex problems with innovative solutions. Your experience includes maintaining code quality and system health, driving best practices in testing and maintainability, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to influence system design.
You thrive in a collaborative environment, working alongside motivated teammates to enhance system robustness and resilience. Your ability to analyze and decompose complex software systems is complemented by your commitment to continuous improvement and technical excellence.
Experience with cloud platforms and microservices architecture would be a plus, as well as familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps practices. You are open to learning new technologies and adapting to evolving project requirements.
