Nextdoor is seeking a Product Manager for their Consumer team to enhance how neighbors engage with local content. You'll collaborate with engineering, data science, and design to build scalable systems that drive community engagement. This role requires a strong understanding of content ecosystems and user needs.
You have a strong background in product management, ideally with experience in content ecosystems and user engagement. You understand the nuances of partnerships, APIs, and editorial considerations, and you are adept at navigating these areas while keeping user needs at the forefront. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with engineering, data science, design, and business development teams to create impactful product strategies. Your analytical mindset allows you to leverage data to inform decisions and drive product success. You are passionate about community building and see the value in third-party content as a means to deepen neighborhood connections. You are energized by the intersection of content, product, and community, and you are eager to make a meaningful impact in this space.
Experience with user research and A/B testing is a plus, as is familiarity with metrics definition and competitive analysis. A background in working with local content or community-driven platforms would be beneficial, as would any experience in managing cross-functional teams.
In this role, you will define and execute the product strategy for third-party content experiences on Nextdoor. This includes overseeing how news, alerts, and contributions from journalists and local influencers are surfaced and integrated into the platform. You will work to ensure that these experiences feel native and relevant to the communities served by Nextdoor. You will partner closely with various teams to build scalable systems for content ingestion, curation, and distribution, driving engagement and trust among users. Your responsibilities will include conducting user research to understand community needs, defining success metrics for content experiences, and collaborating with stakeholders to align product goals with business objectives. You will also be involved in sprint planning and prioritizing features that enhance user engagement with local content.
