Who you are

You are an Engineering Technician with a strong foundation in electrical and mechanical systems, ready to tackle the challenges of maintaining mission-critical technology infrastructure. Your hands-on experience in troubleshooting and operating complex systems makes you a critical guardian of our technological backbone. You understand the importance of uptime and are committed to ensuring that our data centers run smoothly and efficiently.

You have a background in electrical engineering, with experience working on three-phase electrical systems, including switch gear, UPSs, and PDUs. Your familiarity with diesel generators and fuel systems adds to your skill set, allowing you to handle a variety of equipment essential for data center operations. You thrive in environments where you can apply your technical knowledge to solve real-world problems.

You are a proactive team player who enjoys collaborating with diverse teams of engineers and specialists. Your communication skills enable you to work effectively with colleagues across various disciplines, ensuring that everyone is aligned in maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence. You are eager to learn and grow in your role, embracing opportunities to expand your expertise in data center operations.

Desirable

Experience with AWS infrastructure services is a plus, as it aligns with our mission to support global digital experiences. What you'll do

As an Engineering Operation Technician at Amazon, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the heartbeat of our data centers. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the seamless operation of mission-critical facilities, contributing to our goal of achieving 99.999% uptime. You will be hands-on in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical equipment, ensuring that all systems are functioning optimally.

You will operate and maintain various systems, including diesel generators, three-phase electrical systems, and cooling equipment. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying and resolving issues quickly, minimizing downtime and ensuring that our customers have continual access to the services they rely on. You will work closely with a diverse team of engineers, collaborating on projects that enhance the efficiency and reliability of our data centers.
