What you'll do

In this role, you will lead engineering teams responsible for designing, building, and operating systems that detect and prevent platform abuse and fraudulent activities. You will develop and maintain detection pipelines that identify fraud and abuse, ensuring that Vercel's platform remains secure and trusted by developers worldwide. You will work closely with the CTO of Security to align your team's efforts with the broader security strategy of the organization. Your leadership will be crucial in shaping the direction of trust and safety initiatives, and you will be responsible for mentoring and developing your team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.

You will also engage with cross-functional teams to ensure that security considerations are integrated into all aspects of product development. This includes collaborating with product managers, engineers, and designers to create a secure user experience. You will analyze security incidents and trends to continuously improve the effectiveness of your team's efforts. Your role will involve setting clear objectives and key results for your team, measuring success through metrics that reflect the impact of your initiatives on platform integrity.
