Overview

Skyryse is hiring a Systems Test Engineer III to support the integration and testing of fly-by-wire flight control systems. You'll collaborate with systems, hardware, and software engineers to ensure system functionality and performance. This role requires expertise in hardware-in-the-loop testing and automation.

Job Description

Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or testing, particularly in the aerospace or automotive industries. Your background includes working with hardware-in-the-loop test environments, and you have a strong understanding of flight control systems and their components. You are skilled in data analysis and post-processing, which supports cross-functional failure investigations and problem resolutions. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with systems engineers, hardware engineers, and software engineers to verify system functionality and performance. You are detail-oriented and ensure that tests provide full coverage, accurately simulating real-world conditions and failure scenarios. You are familiar with test automation tools and methodologies, which enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of testing processes. You are committed to safety and quality, understanding the critical nature of the systems you work with.

Desirable

Experience with fly-by-wire systems or similar technologies is a plus. Familiarity with software development processes and tools will help you integrate seamlessly into the team. A background in aerospace engineering or a related field will be beneficial, as will any certifications related to systems testing or engineering.

What you'll do

In your role as Systems Test Engineer III, you will participate in the design, development, and maintenance of hardware-in-the-loop test environments used for integrating and verifying fly-by-wire flight control systems and components. You will assist in creating test cases, test equipment, and test models necessary for effective integration and testing. Your responsibilities will include performing data post-processing and analysis to support cross-functional failure investigations and problem resolutions. You will collaborate with various engineering teams to ensure that all tests are comprehensive and accurately reflect real-world scenarios.
