You have a strong background in sales and business development, with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. Your expertise lies in building and maintaining relationships with strategic partners and customers, and you excel at navigating complex sales cycles. You are results-driven and have a proven track record of creating and executing territory development strategies that lead to significant business growth. You thrive in a remote-first environment and are comfortable working independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

You possess a deep understanding of the modern data stack and are familiar with major cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, AWS, Azure, GCP, and Fivetran. Your technical acumen allows you to engage effectively with decision-makers and champions within your territory. You are a strategic thinker who can identify opportunities for growth and develop actionable plans to capitalize on them. You are also passionate about fostering a culture of technological curiosity and ownership within your team.

Desirable

Experience in the data industry or with cloud data solutions is a plus. Familiarity with tools like dbt and Pinecone will set you apart. You are a natural communicator and can articulate complex concepts in a way that resonates with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You have a history of mentoring and developing junior team members, contributing to a collaborative and high-performing sales culture.

What you'll do

As the Territory Director, you will play a pivotal role in scaling phData's business in the Pacific Northwest or Southwest regions. Your primary responsibility will be to build and maintain relationships with strategic partners and customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded. You will be accountable for sourcing and acquiring new customers, managing the overall relationship at buying accounts, and driving revenue growth within your territory.

You will collaborate closely with the sales organization to develop and execute territory development strategies that align with phData's goals. This includes identifying key accounts, understanding their data challenges, and positioning phData's solutions effectively. You will also work with marketing to create targeted campaigns that resonate with potential customers and drive engagement.

In this role, you will navigate complex sales cycles, engaging with decision-makers and champions to secure buy-in for phData's services. You will leverage your expertise in cloud data platforms to provide insights and recommendations that help customers overcome their toughest data challenges. Your ability to build trust and rapport with clients will be essential to your success.
