Who you are

You have more than three years of technical writing experience documenting complex applications, and you hold a degree in Technical Communication. You excel at collaborating effectively with subject matter experts and peers on the documentation team, quickly understanding and documenting complex software and related tools. You demonstrate an ability to create well-written, structured, and detailed specifications that incorporate feedback, and you are skilled at planning and managing documentation projects with shifting requirements and goals.

Desirable

Experience with cloud tools such as GCS, AWS, or Azure is preferred, along with familiarity with AI tool integrations. You are upbeat and highly motivated, ready to contribute to current and future services at Apple.

What you'll do

As a Senior Technical Writer at Apple, you will create content for engineering, QA, UI design, customer support, and external developers. Your primary focus will be on developing task-oriented user documentation, systems architectures, and API documentation. You will collaborate closely with various teams to ensure that the documentation meets the needs of users and stakeholders. Your role will involve understanding complex software systems and translating that knowledge into clear, concise documentation that enhances user experience.

You will be responsible for planning and managing documentation projects, adapting to shifting requirements and goals as they arise. Your ability to quickly grasp technical concepts will be crucial in producing high-quality documentation that serves both internal and external audiences. You will also engage in feedback loops with your peers and subject matter experts to refine and improve the documentation continuously.
