Affirm is seeking a Data Analyst II for their Trust and Safety Analytics team to drive insights and optimize fraud prevention strategies. You'll work with SQL and machine learning to enhance user experience and compliance. This role requires strong analytical skills and experience in data-driven decision-making.
You have a strong background in data analysis, with experience in identifying customer pain points and developing strategies to optimize fraud prevention and user conversion. You are proficient in SQL and have a solid understanding of machine learning principles, allowing you to evaluate innovative data sources and develop scalable frameworks for fraud detection. You thrive in cross-functional environments, collaborating with teams in Product, Engineering, and Compliance to drive data-driven decisions. You are detail-oriented and possess excellent problem-solving skills, enabling you to translate complex data trends into actionable business recommendations. You are passionate about creating a safe and user-friendly experience for customers, continuously seeking to improve processes and systems.
Experience with data visualization tools and reporting dashboards is a plus. Familiarity with fraud verification strategies and risk management will enhance your ability to contribute effectively to the team. A background in compliance and regulatory frameworks related to fraud prevention is also beneficial.
In this role, you will proactively explore data to identify opportunities that accelerate product development and improve existing products in Trust and Safety. You will drive analytical work for online experiments aimed at optimizing strategies for better conversion rates. Your responsibilities will include translating analysis and trends into recommendations for business logic that enhance identity verification and reduce fraud rates. You will develop scalable frameworks to manage tiered cutoffs for proprietary fraud machine learning models, ensuring that the decisioning system remains robust and secure. You will partner with the data engineering team to maintain and enhance data models and reporting dashboards, ensuring that insights are accessible and actionable for stakeholders.
