Job Description

Join our dynamic Tax Department and help shape the future of cloud computing! We're seeking a collaborative tax professional to support our expanding global presence while working with diverse teams across multiple time zones.

Our Tax Department is a collaborative group of professionals dedicated to supporting Amazon Web Services' international growth. We foster an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives are valued and team members support each other in delivering innovative tax solutions.



Key job responsibilities
- Partner with international teams to research and resolve complex indirect tax matters
- Design and implement tax strategies that support business growth
- Develop and maintain relationships with tax authorities and external advisors
- Guide implementation of tax compliance systems and e-invoicing solutions
- Create and enhance tax processes to ensure consistent application of VAT/GST requirements

A day in the life
You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide thoughtful tax guidance, participate in strategic planning sessions, and build relationships with stakeholders globally. You'll share your expertise through clear communication and contribute to the development of efficient tax processes.

About the team
We are made up of a global and diverse team of tax professionals located around the world. We work together around the clock to help ensure AWS remains compliant with new or existing indirect tax laws. - 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Experience working in a large public accounting firm or multi-national corporate tax department
- Experience drafting tax requirements to be used by IT teams and associated PM activities to ensure implementation and testing is completed accurately- Experience researching indirect tax issues including taxability of products and services.
- Experience in supporting audit defense

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $80,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $172,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
