Overview

Amazon is hiring a Senior Program Manager for their Cost to Serve team to identify and reduce operational costs. You'll engage with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to develop frameworks for cost analysis. This role requires strong analytical and project management skills.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in program management with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within the e-commerce or retail sectors. You possess excellent analytical skills and are adept at identifying cost drivers and operational inefficiencies. Your ability to engage with various stakeholders across operations, finance, and business teams makes you an effective communicator and collaborator. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a focus on results.

Desirable

Experience in supply chain management or operations is a plus, as is familiarity with cost analysis frameworks. You have a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and driving initiatives that result in significant cost savings. Your problem-solving skills are complemented by a data-driven mindset, allowing you to make informed decisions based on quantitative analysis.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead initiatives aimed at reducing Amazon's operational costs by identifying defects within the supply chain and establishing their root causes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to brainstorm and develop frameworks for analyzing cost components. Your responsibilities will include coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure alignment on cost reduction strategies and implementing solutions that enhance operational efficiency. You will also be responsible for tracking the progress of cost-saving initiatives and reporting on their impact to senior management.

You will engage in regular meetings with stakeholders to discuss findings and propose actionable solutions. Your role will require you to analyze data and present insights that drive decision-making processes. You will also be expected to mentor junior team members and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
