What you'll do

As a Systems Engineering Intern at Zoox, you will support the verification and validation of critical hardware modules through a multi-stage testing process. This includes conducting bench-level testing and participating in full vehicle and product integration efforts. You will engage in triaging and root-cause analysis of test results, ensuring that all components meet safety and performance standards.

In the Powertrain Engineering team, you will collaborate closely with senior engineers and suppliers to develop and validate battery control algorithms. You will create high-fidelity cell models and conduct laboratory testing to optimize battery performance, safety, and longevity. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and reliability of Zoox's electric vehicles.

Additionally, you will perform thermal modeling to estimate key temperatures, which will help improve safety and reduce hardware costs. By enabling more accurate cabin safety monitoring and a lower sensor count, your work will play a crucial role in enhancing the overall performance of Zoox's autonomous vehicles.
