Who you are

You have a strong background in machine learning and anti-abuse technologies, with at least 5 years of experience in engineering management. Your leadership skills shine as you mentor and guide a team of talented engineers, fostering an environment of innovation and collaboration. You understand the importance of user experience and are committed to ensuring that millions of iCloud customers enjoy a seamless experience free from spam and malicious content.

Your technical expertise allows you to define and execute a comprehensive technical roadmap for anti-abuse solutions across iCloud Mail, Calendar, and Contacts. You are adept at integrating complex systems and ensuring that user safety is prioritized in every aspect of your work. You thrive in cross-functional environments, collaborating with teams such as Apple Trust and Safety and Anti-abuse Operations to deliver effective solutions.

You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and drive alignment across teams. Your strategic mindset helps you anticipate challenges and proactively address them, ensuring that your team remains focused on delivering high-quality solutions.

Desirable

What you'll do

As the Engineering Manager for iCloud Anti-Abuse, you will lead a critical team responsible for protecting millions of iCloud users from spam, phishing, and other malicious content. You will oversee the development and implementation of anti-abuse solutions, ensuring they are seamlessly integrated into Mail, Calendar, and Contacts systems. Your role will involve defining the technical direction and roadmap for these solutions, guiding your team through the complexities of machine learning and system integration.

You will collaborate closely with various teams, including Apple Trust and Safety and Anti-abuse Operations, to ensure that user experiences are prioritized and that solutions are effective in preventing spam and abuse. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving innovation and ensuring that your team remains at the forefront of technology in user protection.

You will also be responsible for mentoring and developing your team members, helping them grow their skills and advance their careers. Regular one-on-one meetings and performance reviews will be part of your routine, as you strive to create a supportive and high-performing team culture.
