Our products are strategically important to our Retail and Marketplace businesses, driving long-term growth. Sponsored Ads (SA) helps merchants, retail vendors, and brand owners grows incremental sales of their products sold on Amazon through native advertising. SA achieves this by using a combination of machine learning, big data analytics, ultra-low latency high-volume engineering systems, and quantitative product focus. You will lead a newly-formed team with a broad mandate to experiment and innovate, which will give you the flexibility to develop systems and services from the ground up. Your team will lead design/architecture efforts across the full-stack, including scientists to develop ML systems. - 5+ years of engineering team management experience
- 10+ years of planning, designing, developing and delivering consumer software experience
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects and development teams in an Agile environment- Experience partnering with product and program management teams
- Experience designing and developing large scale, high-traffic applications

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $198,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $342,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
