Specialist Cloud Database Engineer

Who you are

You have a strong background in database engineering with experience in deploying and maintaining databases in cloud environments. You are familiar with AWS services and have hands-on experience with database administration tasks, including health checks and performance monitoring. Your expertise includes working with Oracle and SQL Server, and you are comfortable analyzing logs and configuring alerts to ensure database availability. You understand the importance of capacity planning and performance optimization, and you are skilled in using tools like Terraform for infrastructure management. You are a proactive problem solver who can address customer issues effectively and professionally.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for deploying and maintaining NICE's global customer-hosted databases, ensuring their health and availability. You will perform regular health checks and monitor database performance using AWS tools like CloudWatch. Your tasks will include configuring alerts, analyzing logs, and performing database administration tasks such as backups and restores. You will also be involved in new deployment tasks for databases and RDS services, ensuring that all configurations meet the required standards. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Database Team to manage databases in both on-prem data centers and AWS Cloud, contributing to the overall success of the infrastructure operations.
