SpaceX is hiring a Production Machinist for the Starlink project to manufacture micron-level tolerance machined parts. You'll operate multi-axis CNC machines and troubleshoot production issues. This role requires at least 6 months of experience in a production environment.
You have a high school diploma or equivalency certificate and at least 6 months of experience working in a production environment. You are familiar with handling or working with machined hardware and are eager to learn and grow in a challenging role. You possess a strong attention to detail and are committed to maintaining high standards in your work. As a CNC Machinist on the Ultra Precision Machining team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating multi-axis CNC machines to manufacture parts with micron-level tolerances. You will troubleshoot off-nominal issues to maintain maximum machine uptime, ensuring that production runs smoothly. You will complete machining operations from blueprints, drawings, and verbal instructions, working with complex, tight tolerance parts and various materials. Your role will involve continuous improvement of machining processes and techniques, contributing to the team's goal of pushing the boundaries of what is possible in manufacturing.
