Job Description

Amazon is seeking a strategic Principal Product Manager - Tech with a proven track record of leading step-change product innovations to optimize vendor experiences in vendor growth services. In this role, you will have end-to-end ownership of products that leverage multiple JP-first innovation to solve complex challenges, automate retail functions, and drive long-term growth initiatives.

We're looking for a big-thinking leader with proven success in:

Applying science and technology to accelerate vendor growth and success
Driving vendor insight and collaborate with multiple product, tech, science, designs to accelerate synergy and efficiency
Optimizing vendor experiences across retail products

You will collaborate with business and technical teams in Japan and worldwide to build scalable product solutions that transforms how vendor grow their business on Amazon.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership in product strategy, technical depth, and operational excellence. Key qualifications include:

Technical & Strategic Leadership:

Deep understanding of complex system architectures, including distributed systems, APIs, workflows, and performance optimization
Proven ability to translate business opportunities into technical solutions at enterprise scale
Track record of driving architectural decisions and technical strategy across multiple teams

Product Development & Execution:

Experience leading large-scale, mission-critical products from concept to launch
Strong track record of building and executing multi-year product roadmaps
Demonstrated success in influencing business and tech leadership

Business Impact & Stakeholder Management:

Excellence in data-driven decision making and strategic prioritization
Ability to influence senior leadership through compelling narratives and technical insights
Proven success in balancing customer experience, business objectives, and technical constraints

This role requires a strategic leader who can drive technical excellence while maintaining a clear focus on business outcomes and keep high bar on vendor experience.

Key job responsibilities
As a Principal Product Manager-Tech, you will architect and drive both immediate and long-term (1-3 year) platform/product strategies that enable transformative capabilities across Amazon grow services. Operating with significant autonomy in a complex environment, you'll define the technical vision, business requirements, and scalable solutions while orchestrating their successful implementation and launch for minimum lovable product (MLP). Your role demands seamless collaboration with business, engineering, science, design, and partner teams to navigate complex challenges and achieve alignment. You'll lead multiple concurrent workstreams through the complete product lifecycle - from initial concept and vendor feedback through development, pilot, prove of concept, launch, and scaled adoption - while ensuring vendor experience and business impact.- 7+ years experience building complex, scalable e-commerce products with emphasis on B2B solutions
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- Proven ability to design scalable architectures considering performance, maintainability, and future innovation
- Experience leading technical product strategy and roadmap development
- Expertise in driving technical synergies across multiple products and systems
- Outstanding English written and verbal communication abilities- Track record of developing and scaling global B2B products and driving tool adoption
- Experience in Japan's B2B e-commerce ecosystem, particularly with vendor and seller management systems
- Strong SQL proficiency in enterprise environments
- Business-level Japanese language proficiency (written and spoken)
- Understanding of Japanese B2B market dynamics and business practices
- MBA degree preferred
