Samsara is seeking a Senior Director of Sales Commissions to develop and lead a scalable Sales Compensation function. You'll focus on driving operations and process improvement to align compensation plans with company objectives. This role requires strong leadership and strategic thinking skills.
You are a highly motivated and enthusiastic leader with a strong background in sales compensation and operations. With a proven track record of developing scalable compensation processes, you understand how to align these plans with company objectives to drive performance. Your hands-on approach ensures that you are actively involved in the day-to-day operations, continuously seeking ways to improve processes and enhance execution. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with Sales Leadership to govern compensation policies and drive strategic initiatives.
You have experience in leading teams and managing complex projects, demonstrating your ability to navigate challenges and deliver results. Your analytical mindset allows you to assess compensation structures and make data-driven decisions that benefit both the organization and its employees. You are passionate about creating a fair and motivating compensation framework that supports the growth and success of the sales team.
Experience in a technology or SaaS company is a plus, as is familiarity with compensation software and analytics tools. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to changing business needs while maintaining a focus on long-term goals.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and leading the Sales Compensation function at Samsara. You will drive the day-to-day operations of the compensation team, ensuring that processes are efficient and effective. Your primary focus will be on continuous improvement, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing best practices to streamline operations.
You will collaborate closely with Sales Leadership to design and implement compensation plans that align with the company's strategic objectives. This includes analyzing sales performance data to inform compensation decisions and ensuring that the compensation structure is competitive and motivating for the sales team.
As a key partner to Sales Leadership, you will participate in the annual sales planning process, providing insights and recommendations based on data analysis. You will also be responsible for communicating compensation policies and changes to the sales team, ensuring transparency and understanding.
Your leadership will be instrumental in fostering a culture of accountability and performance within the sales organization. You will mentor and develop your team, providing guidance and support to help them succeed in their roles.
