Sanitation Lead

Who you are

As a Sanitation Lead, you have experience in coordinating sanitation activities and providing coaching to team members. You understand the importance of following safety, GMP, and SQF policies, and you are committed to maintaining a clean and orderly work environment. You are proactive in your approach, stepping in as needed to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. You possess strong communication skills, allowing you to collaborate with other departments to solve problems and support the production team.

You are detail-oriented and take pride in ensuring that sanitation tasks are performed to the highest standards. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining a focus on safety and compliance. You are a team player who respects and follows direction from supervisors while also being able to work independently.

Desirable

Experience in a food production or manufacturing environment is a plus. Familiarity with sanitation equipment and procedures will help you excel in this role. A background in coaching or mentoring team members is also beneficial, as you will be responsible for guiding others in their sanitation tasks.

What you'll do

In your role as Sanitation Lead, you will oversee and perform typical sanitation tasks to support the production team and the entire facility. This includes removing waste and debris, transporting empty boxes to compactors, and sanitizing equipment and floors at the end of shifts. You will coach all employees to follow policies and procedures, ensuring that everyone adheres to safety and hygiene standards. You will also support the production department by cleaning and preparing for the next shift, maintaining a clean work area, and performing routine sanitation equipment maintenance.

You will be responsible for communicating with other departments, such as Quality or Production, to collaborate and solve problems. Your ability to work alongside your team while stepping in as needed will be crucial for maximizing productivity. You will ensure that all sanitation tasks are completed efficiently and in compliance with company policies. Your leadership will help foster a culture of safety and cleanliness within the facility.
