Overview

SpaceX is hiring an Integration & Test Engineer for the Starlink project to develop and test hardware-in-the-loop systems. You'll work with technologies related to satellite operations and advanced communication systems. This role requires experience in hardware integration and testing.

Who you are

You have a strong background in hardware integration and testing, with experience in developing systems that support rapid development cycles. Your expertise in embedded systems and hardware-in-the-loop testing enables you to contribute effectively to complex projects. You thrive in multidisciplinary teams and are passionate about advancing technology for global connectivity.

You possess a solid understanding of satellite communication systems and have worked on projects that involve hardware management solutions. Your ability to collaborate with software engineers and other technical teams allows you to bridge the gap between hardware and software, ensuring seamless integration.

You are detail-oriented and have a proven track record of improving testbed build quality and manufacturing tooling. Your analytical skills help you identify areas for improvement and implement robust solutions that enhance operational efficiency.

Desirable

Experience with satellite systems or broadband technologies is a plus. Familiarity with advanced collision avoidance algorithms and phased array antennas will set you apart. You are eager to learn and adapt to new technologies that can enhance the Starlink mission.

What you'll do

As an Integration & Test Engineer for Starlink, you will be responsible for developing and implementing hardware-in-the-loop systems that facilitate the testing of satellite technologies. You will work closely with software engineers to ensure that the integration of hardware and software components meets the high standards required for satellite operations.

You will lead efforts to improve the quality of testbeds and develop manufacturing tooling that supports satellite operations. Your role will involve collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to design and execute tests that validate the performance of satellite systems.

You will also be tasked with developing robust hardware management solutions that streamline operations and enhance the reliability of satellite communications. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of the Starlink project, helping to provide fast and reliable internet to millions of users worldwide.
