Amazon is hiring an Account Manager for their Transport division to help shape the future of Rail customers' businesses. You'll leverage AWS services to drive customer outcomes and build relationships within the UK transportation sector. This role requires a strong understanding of cloud services and customer engagement.
You have a strong background in account management, particularly within the transportation sector, and understand the unique challenges faced by UK transportation organizations. Your customer-obsessed attitude drives you to build relationships at all levels, ensuring that you can effectively engage with stakeholders and deliver tangible outcomes. You are a self-starter with a passion for making a difference in the industry, particularly as it relates to the evolving landscape of cloud computing. Your ability to navigate complex technical requirements and align them with customer needs is a key strength.
You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services. Your experience in developing and executing comprehensive account plans demonstrates your strategic thinking and ability to drive growth. You thrive in fast-paced environments and are adept at managing a high volume of engagements, ensuring that you can meet the demands of the cloud computing market.
Experience working with government organizations or public sector clients would be advantageous, as would familiarity with the UK rail system and its operational challenges. A background in technology sales or business development is also a plus, as it complements your account management skills and enhances your ability to drive customer success.
In this role, you will work closely with customers to create, develop, and execute against a comprehensive account and territory plan. Your primary focus will be aligning customer requirements with AWS services, helping them to achieve their desired outcomes. You will engage with key partners, including ISVs and system integrators, to understand their technical needs and contribute to the Go-To-Market strategy. Your responsibilities will include identifying opportunities for growth within existing accounts and developing strategies to expand AWS's footprint in the transportation sector.
You will be responsible for articulating the value of AWS services to customers, ensuring they understand how these solutions can address their specific challenges. Your role will involve regular interactions with stakeholders, requiring you to manage expectations and deliver results that align with customer goals. You will also collaborate with internal teams to ensure that customer feedback is incorporated into service improvements and product development.
