Who you are

You have 5+ years of backend engineering experience, particularly in building production systems that scale effectively. You’ve owned services from design through deployment and have navigated the complexities of debugging distributed systems. Your expertise in Rust microservices and event-driven architectures allows you to create efficient and reliable backend solutions.

You are well-versed in cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and understand how to leverage these platforms to enhance system performance and reliability. Your experience includes designing APIs and microservices that connect with financial institutions and payment processors, ensuring secure and compliant transactions.

You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with product, data, and mobile teams to deliver high-performance features that meet the demands of a growing user base. Your strong communication skills enable you to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, fostering a shared understanding of project goals.

What you'll do

As a Staff/Senior Backend Engineer at Attain, you will design and scale the backend services that drive Klover’s payments and data infrastructure. You’ll work on systems that process over $1.5 billion annually, ensuring that users have real-time access to their earned wages and financial tools. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable features that enhance user experience.

You will be responsible for designing APIs and microservices that connect financial institutions and payment processors, ensuring that transactions are secure and compliant. Your work will directly impact users’ ability to access their money instantly and earn meaningful rewards.

In this role, you will also have the opportunity to work with modern technologies, including Rust microservices and event-driven systems. You will contribute to the architecture and design of high-availability systems, focusing on reliability and privacy at scale.

You will participate in code reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration within the team. Your insights will help shape the technical direction of the backend engineering team, ensuring that best practices are followed and that the team continues to grow in capability and expertise.
