Job Description

Infrastructure Reliability Engineering is seeking a customer obsessed Sr. Technical Program Manager to join our team, part of Fulfilment Technology and Robotics. We build solutions using AWS products for network authentication and connectivity supporting millions of devices like thin clients, robot drive units, and hand scanners. The number of devices in Amazon Fulfillment is always growing and the services supporting these devices need to scale with the business. Can you work directly with a team of engineers that is building software and automation to scale to millions of clients and manage an evolving list of use cases? Do you enjoy leading teams to build distributed services with high transaction volume while maintaining high availability? If so, the Infrastructure Reliability Engineering team may be right for you.

You will drive the team to build for the long term, but build incrementally to provide progressive gains. You will anticipate the business needs and create flexible services that can satisfy the known requirements today, but also future requirements not yet invented. Your leadership and guidance will ensure we deliver our goals. The scope of authentication and connectivity is vast and offers the opportunity for continuous learning and growth.

- Scope the level of effort for technical resources required to deliver goals.
- Drive implementation of technical tasks and goals, monitoring key dependencies and reporting risks/issues/blockers.
- Own a wide scope by influencing across organizations.
- Collaborate with the software development manager to create an ambitious 3+ year vision of technical innovation.
- Create a monthly program review and present it to senior leaders and stakeholders.
- Lead high level and detailed technical designs with senior engineers to create solutions that meet the needs of the customer and the business.

About the team
The Gated Access Technology Engineering (GATE) team develops products and services that enable network authentication to OpsTechIT networks for wireless devices and users. We provide access to highly available authentication and authorization services that enable our customers to deliver to the end user. We serves the OpsTechIT organization by providing connectivity information and directory services that enable devices to connect to the network.- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 5+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
