SpaceX is hiring an NDE Level II Inspector to perform high-quality inspections of flight components and production assemblies. You'll utilize various nondestructive evaluation methods including eddy current and radiography. This role requires NDE Level II certification and offers an opportunity to work on the Starship program.
You have a high school diploma or equivalency certificate and possess a Nondestructive Evaluation Level II certification in line with ASNT TC-1A, NAS-410, or DOD guidance. You have experience in one or more inspection methods such as eddy current, radiography, dye penetrant, or ultrasonic. You are skilled in interpreting engineering drawings and have a strong understanding of inspection techniques for complex geometries. You are committed to quality and safety, ensuring that all inspections meet the highest standards. You enjoy working in a collaborative environment and are eager to assist in training and developing others on your team. You have a proactive approach to problem-solving and are dedicated to continuous improvement in inspection processes.
In this role, you will perform surface NDE inspections, including visual testing (VT) and penetrant testing (PT). You will interpret, evaluate, communicate, and report your findings to production and engineering teams, ensuring that all components meet the required specifications. You will support the development of NDE inspection techniques for complex geometries, contributing to the advancement of inspection methodologies within the Starship program. You will also assist in the research and development of system qualification and certification for critical processes, playing a key role in maintaining the integrity of flight components. Additionally, you will help train and develop other team members, sharing your expertise and fostering a culture of learning and growth within the organization.
