What you'll do

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Safety Applications team, you will play a crucial role in developing AI-powered coaching products that enhance driver safety. You will collaborate with machine learning and AI engineering teams to design and implement features that provide targeted feedback to drivers, helping them recognize and correct risky behaviors.

You will be responsible for the full software development lifecycle, from concept through deployment. This includes writing clean, maintainable code, conducting code reviews, and ensuring that the applications you build are scalable and efficient. You will also participate in design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions that shape the future of Samsara's safety solutions.

Your role will involve working closely with product managers and UX designers to understand user needs and translate them into technical requirements. You will engage in regular testing and debugging to ensure the quality and reliability of the software you develop.

In addition to your technical contributions, you will mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and helping them grow in their careers. You will foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the team, encouraging open communication and the sharing of ideas.
